Toyota Racing Development or TRD is the in-house tuning shop for all Toyota, Lexus, and Scion cars. TRD is responsible both for improving street cars for more performance and supporting Toyota's racing interests around the world. TRD produces various tuning products and accessories, including performance suspension components, superchargers, and wheels.
Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT) has launched special versions of the popular Altis model: the Toyota Altis TRD Sportivo with sporty visual treatments including skirts, rear spoiler, smoked head lamps, LED tail lights and 16-inch TRD magnesium wheels shod with 205/55 R16. The interior is all-black with leather cladding for the steering wheel and gear knob.
Retail prices starts at THB 839,000 for the 1.6 liter version and THB 894,000 for the 1.8 liter engine. Only 2,000 units will available for the Thai market.
