Hyundai Motor (Thailand) launches the the new Hyundai TUSCON 2.0 - The Sexy SUV in 2WD and 4WD versions. With an introductory price of THB 1,791,000.

Hyundai Motor (Thailand) president Yoshizumi Kurata gave details of the new Hyundai Tuscon SUV.

"The vehicle is outstanding in terms of exterior and interior designs with performance 2.0-liter DOHC engine equipped with D-CVVT and VIS (variable intake system) for optimum performance and excellent fuel economy. The engine, mated with 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift, can deliver maximum power output of 166 horsepower. Highlighted features of the New Hyundai Tucson include Panorama Sunroof, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Amplitude Selective Damper (ASD), selected to provide strong character and better ride efficiency".

"The car will be among the showcase during this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show. Appropriate price positioning is being studied to put the new Tucson in the right market as exclusive vehicle for customers seeking innovative driving enjoyment with true value for money. It is safe to say that the New Hyundai Tucson is the perfect choice for those with uncompromising character," he added.

As for other cars designated to hit the Thai market, Hyundai Motor (Thailand) prepares to offer variety of choices at both the higher and lower ends. The New Hyundai Grand Starex will be imported as the super luxury model selection to further enhance the premium experience in another Hyundai’s large MPV sister model. The New Hyundai i10 is a perfect candidate for modern-day driving amid the rising oil prices as it comes with advanced 1.2-liter DOHC engine in a 5-door hatchback form to offer a whole new experience in city-car ownership and of course, fuel economy. “These 2 models are expected in Thailand around the third quarter of 2010,” said Mr. Kurata.

With regard to the expansion of Hyundai’s current sales and service network, the company is planning to include new 3S showrooms this year to make a total of 30 showrooms.







The year 2010 is also the year for the most popular and prestigious sporting event, the FIFA World Cup 2010, which will be held in South Africa and telecast worldwide to billions of people. Hyundai as the sole automotive partner of the tournament is set to offer various activities to cater to the customers (CRM) and enhance community and society.

“We have planned to reach out to customers through the FIFA World Cup 2010 activities as well as create charity program involving football donations and other sporting gears to 20 schools in need,” Mr. Kurata concluded.
