Dr. Alexander Paufler, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited, said: “We saw immediate effects of our recent new business strategies for the fourth quarter beginning this September when we introduced nine new models across the vehicle segments along with a 2-5% price reduction for seven models that drove our sales in September 2011 up to a new record: 581 vehicles delivered, translating into a 40% increase when compared to the same period last year: 415 vehicles. This 319 vehicles or 122% increase compared to the month of August 2011 posted us a new sales record in the past two years with an accumulated unit sales since the beginning of the year at a new record 3,553 vehicles, a 3.5% rise when compared to the same period last year (January – September 2010) when we delivered 3,433 vehicles.”

The past September was an excellent month for Mercedes-Benz Thailand whose impressive sales growth covered all vehicle segments. The new introduction of the new C-Class Coupe Edition 1, the compact coupe with perfect shape, the new generation C-Class with new 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission, and especially the C 200 BlueEFFICIENCY had all made the record sales possible. Meanwhile, the E 200 NGT BlueEFFICIENCY ELEGANCE, the only petrol and natural gas-powered (CNG) premium sedan in the Thai premium market, the new roadster SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY Sports AMG, and the S 500 BlueEFFICIENCY Long Wheel Base with the new V-8 BlueDIRECT engine which save as much as 16% more energy than its predecessor.

Mr. Komkrit Nongsawat, General Manager for Marketing & Communications of Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited, added: “The biggest contribution for our September sales was our proactive marketing schemes that included the ongoing 125-year anniversary special promotional offers. This strong sales reflected our customers confidence and appreciation of our brand through after-sales service and excellent customer care. All officially imported & distributed Mercedes-Benz vehicles come with 3-year warranty with unlimited mileage plus an exclusive Star Assist program of 24-hour roadside assistance. Only in our nationwide network of 30 authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers you can directly enjoy such a privileged after-sales experience. We will continue to stand firmly as Thailand’s leading luxury car maker with our C-Class, E-Class and S-Class as the highlights.
