Emporium hosts ground-breaking “Speed of Time” showcase

The Emporium Shopping Complex is hosting the “Emporium Speed of Time”, a phenomenal event that will showcase 14 pairs of supercars and selected world-class horological masterpieces.
The 14 duos of supercars and timepieces will be showcased from today until 29 June 2009, at Motion Hall and Fashion Avenue of Ground Floor and at Fashion Hall and Fashion Avenue of 1st Floor of The Emporium Shopping Complex.

Kriengsak Tantiphipop, Senior Managing Director of The Emporium Shopping Complex said, “This innovative event at which timepieces and supercars are showcased together is the first of its kind in Asia-Pacific and is truly a source of pride for us.

We have brought four pairs of topnotch brands -- Lamborghini with Blancpain; Spyker and Chronoswiss; Ferrari with Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai; Bentley with Breitling for Bentley. Other supercar brands include Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin, MTM Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz and Jaguar. Luxurious timepieces on show include Jaeger-LeCoultre, Audemars Piguet, Harry Winston, CVSTOS, IWC, Ulysse Nardin, Piaget, Chopard, Omega and Glashutte Original.


The plethora of legendary automobile brands and timepieces at this event represents a rare opportunity for connoisseurs of automotive technology and horology.

Each is a masterpiece in its own way, and all together the supercars and timepieces sum up to a total of approximately 300 million THB.

The Emporium has invested a sum of around 5 million THB in marketing and expects to attract at least 100,000 visitors during the event and which also provides an opportunity for those looking to own any of these coveted supercars and unique timepieces.

The opening party for the Emporium Speed of Time was filled with front-line figures of the Thai crème de la creme. At the Motion Hall, Ground Floor guests were received in a fitting style by the Thai supermodels including Chollada Mekratree, Yossavadee Hassadeevichit, Sangthong Ket-u-tong, Marissa Annita, and Rasee Watcharapolmek.



To add to the glamour of the evening, guests were served refreshments by the sizzling Maxim Girls of 2009. The evening started with a mini singing performance by the Singha music band which included a well-known singer, Caroline Neemayothin, Naraphan Chompoonich and Panadda Ruangwut. After the initial entertainment, the evening continued with music by a well-reputed DJ and then a live music performance by talented musicians.

The evening proceeded with more excitement as the MC Nana Ribena announced the fashion presentation by Thai supermodels. It was followed with Superwatch Presentation of the participating brands, with each presented by a celebrity. Preerati Bhirombhakdi presented Audemars Piguet; Parinya Kunpalin presented Piaget; Wannasiri Kongman presented Omega; Orn Arpa Poonsupmanee presented Harry Winston; Rattanarat Uathavikul presented Chopard; Boonyapa Benjarongkul presented Chronoswiss; Wannaporn Poshyanonda presented Glashutte Original; Pattriya Na Nakorn presented Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai; Ben Na Nakorn presented Blancpain; Karoon Sosothikul presented Breitling for Bentley; Phongsakorn Mahapaurya presented Jaeger-LeCoultre; Nathsedh Poonsupmanee presented CVSTOS; Nattapol Pattamapong presented IWC.

The fashion presentation and superwatch presentation were followed by guests marking the opening of the Emporium Speed of Time with a champagne toast.
